Body Fillers can be used in any drywall repair project, large or small. And because Bondo® Body Fillers can be carved and shaped, they can allow for artistic repairs, and for repairs of plaster.

Body Fillers
Bondo® Body Fillers are excellent fillers because they chemically cross-link to cure. They are cured and sandable in only 20 minutes, and paintable in 45-60 minutes. They are also compatible with all types of house paints and primers. Body fillers can be drilled, tapped, routed and carved. Bondo® Body Fillers are extremely weather/water resistent,and resist weakening or cracking where extreme temperature changes are evident.
Instructions
- Clean repair area
- Remove paint, primer, and other loose surface debris.
Use drywall sandpaper to ensure good adhesion
- Mixing:
Knead cream hardener tube thoroughly before using.
For golf ball size amount of filler, squeeze out 1-1/4 inch strip of hardener.
Or, for repair area 3 inches in diameter, 1/2 inch thick, use three inch strip of cream hardener.
Mix thoroughly to uniform colour on clean non-porous surface.
Mix only small amounts that can be used within 3-4 minutes.
Proper mixing ratio: 50:1 by weight.
Do not add cream hardener in filler container.
- Spread initial layer of mixed filler over repair area, using firm pressure to ensure maximum adhesion.
- Allow the application of filler to cure 20-30 minutes. Sand with drywall sandpaper.
If needed, additional layers can be applied once sanded.
Featheredge with drywall sandpaper to blend the edges.
- Paint, or prime and paint as required.
Optional:
Apply a very thin layer of Bondo® Glazing and Spot Putty to fill pinholes or small imperfections.
Sand with 320 grit sandpaper. Paint, or prime and paint as required.
Tips
- For best results, apply at 7 degrees Celsius or above.
- Bondo® Professional Gold and Bondo® Ultimate achieve finest results. These professional grade fillers
are easier to mix, smooth and apply, and provide extremely
easy and clog-free sanding.
