Body Fillers
Bondo® Ultimate Premium Light Weight Body Filler is a professional quality, stain free body filler
offering super smooth application, easy sanding and featheredging. It provided superior adhesion to
galvanized steel, metal, aluminum, e-coat, SMC and fiberglass. Bondo® Ultimate can be applied
without sanding down to bare metal. It is sandable in only 20 minutes and remains easy to sand
for days after application. It is compatible with all paints and primers.
Instructions
- Clean repair area with warm soapy water; let dry completely
- Remove paint, primer, and other loose surface debris.
Use 80 grit sandpaper to ensure good adhesion
- Mixing:
Knead cream hardener tube thoroughly before using.
For golf ball size amount of filler, squeeze out 1-1/4 inch strip of hardener.
Or, for repair area 3 inches in diameter, 1/2 inch thick, use three inch strip of cream hardener.
Mix thoroughly to uniform colour on clean non-porous surface.
Mix only small amounts that can be used within 3-4 minutes.
Proper mixing ratio: 50:1 by weight.
Do not add cream hardener in filler container.
- Spread initial layer of mixed filler over repair area, using firm pressure to ensure maximum adhesion.
- Allow the application of filler to cure 20-30 minutes. Sand with 80 grit sandpaper.
If needed, additional layers can be applied once sanded.
Featheredge with 180 grit sandpaper to blend the edges.
- Paint, or prime and paint as required.
Optional:
Apply a very thin layer of Bondo® Glazing and Spot Putty to fill pinholes or small imperfections.
Sand with 320 grit sandpaper. Paint, or prime and paint as required.
Tips
- For best results, apply at 7 degrees Celsius or above.
- Bondo® Professional Gold and Bondo® Ultimate achieve finest results. These professional grade fillers
are easier to mix, smooth and apply, and provide extrememly easy and clog-free sanding.
- Using Bondo® UV Body Filler eliminates the need for mixing filler with hardener.
Its "no rush" applications gives the user all the time needed to apply.
Cures in 10 minutes in direct sunlight and is easy to sand.
