3M™ Trizact™ Diamond Abrasives

The Process:

1. Attach four 3M™ Trizact™ Diamond Abrasive HX Red discs (red backing) to a 3M™ White Super Polish Pad 4100 in the 12:00, 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 positions.
2. Make 4 passes with the 3M™ Trizact™ Diamond HX Red with squeegee up and solution on. 5th pass should be with squeegee down. 6th pass with squeegee up and solution on.
3. Attach four 3M™ Trizact™ Diamond Abrasive HX Blue discs (blue backing) to a 3M™ White Super Polish Pad 4100 in the 12:00, 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 positions.
4. Make 5 passes with the 3M™ Trizact™ Diamond Abrasive HX Blue with squeegee up and solution on. 6th pass should be with squeegee down.
5. Clean the floor with autoscrubber and water using the 3M™ Red Buffer Pad 5100 to remove any remaining residue.
6. Make four passes using a burnisher and the Scotch-Brite™ Purple Diamond Floor Pad Plus.
7. Dust the floor using the 3M™ Easy Trap Duster.
8. Wet the 3M™ Easy Shine Applicator Pad with the Scotchgard™ Stone Floor Protector and then apply a thin, uniform coat of Scotchgard™ Stone Floor Protector to the floor using the 3M™ Easy Shine Applicator System. Allow 15 to 30 minutes of drying time. Burnish the floor with the Scotch-Brite™ Purple Diamond Floor Pad Plus.
9. Dust the floor using the 3M™ Easy Trap Duster. Apply a second thin, uniform coat of Scotchgard™ Stone Floor Protector using the 3M™ Easy Shine Applicator System. Allow 15 to 30 minutes of drying time. Burnish the floor again using the Scotch-Brite™ Purple Diamond Floor Pad Plus.

Diamond Floor Pad

The Process:

1. Strip all old finish from floor using a 3M™ Floor Stripping Chemical and 3M™ stripping pad.
2. If the floor is uncoated, clean thoroughly using a black scrubbing pad and thoroughly rinse floor with water.
3. Allow floor to dry thoroughly.
4. Mask off any surfaces that are not intended to be coated. i.e.: metal, glass, painted surfaces, fabric.
5. Burnish the bare floor using a Scotch-Brite™ Sienna Diamond Floor Pad Plus.
6. Follow the Scotch-Brite™ Sienna Diamond Floor Pad Plus by burnishing with the Scotch-Brite™ Purple Diamond Floor Pad Plus.

The Process:

1. Agitate the Scotchgard™ Stone Floor Protector and install bag into 3M™ Easy Shine Applicator backpack.
2. Using the 3M™ Easy Shine Applicator and pad, apply 1 uniform, very thin coat of Scotchgard™ Stone Floor Protector. Allow 10-30 minutes of drying time.
3. Burnish the floor with the Scotch-Brite™ Purple Diamond Floor Pad Plus

Once Scotchgard™ Stone Floor Protector is applied, you can maintain it for up to a year with regular dust mopping, damp mopping or machine scrubbing, as necessary.** If scratches occur between reapplications, a quick burnish with the Scotch-Brite™ Purple Diamond Floor pad will restore the finish. 3M™ Nomad™ Entrance Matting System is designed to stop dirt and moisture at the door, keeping floors throughout your facility clean. It consists of several different types of mats, each doing its specific job to help maintain your building.

3M Scraper Matting installed outside and in your foyer, is your first line of defense scraping dirt and moisture from shoes. Unbacked scraper matting is recommended for outdoor locations to allow dirt to flow through, backed scraper matting keeps debris away from the floor in indoor areas. 3M vinyl backing will not stain flooring when used indoors.

3M offers two kinds of scraper matting – Resilient vinyl looped construction that allows dirt and moisture to fall below the matting surface, keeping shoes clean and dry, and open "z" vinyl construction with peaked edges to provide excellent scraping action for foyers and recessed wells.

3M Carpet Matting is the last line of defense in the 3M Entrance Matting System. Designed for indoor use, this matting removes moisture as well as dirt not removed by the scraper mats. A combination of coarse polypropylene fibres that scrape and hold soil particles from shoes and a fine nylon or polypropylene fibres that help wick away water.

Cleaning Process

Use Scotch-Brite™ Surface Prep Pads and 3M™ Neutral Cleaner or water with auto-scrubbers, swing machines, or rectangular floor machines
If 3M™ Neutral Cleaner is used in scrubbing procedure, rinse floor with water prior to applying floor finish
A flexible backer floor pad can be used to hold pad
Once floor is dry, dust with 3M™ Easy Trap Duster before applying floor finish
