3M Hearing Conservation Program (HCP)
3M Hearing Conservation Program (HCP). Length: Full Day.
This full day program entitled “Elements of a Hearing Conservation Program” is a comprehensive course designed for individuals such as safety specialist, safety coordinators, supervisors, and occupational health nurses responsible for hearing conservation in their workplace. The primary goal of the session is to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to understand the components of a hearing conservation program. This program includes an overview of sound, anatomy and physiology of the ear, and details on the components of a hearing conservation program, including proper techniques on use, care and maintenance for each type of hearing protection device. In the afternoon, 3M will provide a demonstration of the E-A-R™ Validation System and complete a quantitative earplug fitting with each participant providing them with a Personal Attenuation Rating (PAR) for a specific set of earplugs.
3M Advanced Respiratory Training (ART)
3M Advanced Respiratory Training (ART) Length: Full day Included: Training binder, certificate of completion, coffee and lunch. Qualifies for 1 CIH/ROH and 0.5 CRSP certification maintenance point. The Advanced Respiratory Training (ART) course is a comprehensive full day respiratory course designed for managers, supervisors, occupational health nurses, safety coordinators, and industrial hygienists who have responsibilities in the implementation of a respiratory protection program at their workplace, and require a thorough understanding of the elements of an effective respirator program. Participants will receive a thorough knowledge of the applicable regulations, respiratory protection program requirements, and fit testing theory and qualitative fit testing practical exercises. Each participant will receive a comprehensive training binder, fit testing instructions, and 1.0 point towards certification maintenance for CIH, ROH or 0.5 CRSP designations. Register: Through sales rep or regional administrators. The fit testing workshop is a course designed for people who have been designated as company fit tester and are under the direction of someone with a thorough knowledge of a respiratory protection program and its requirements. Participants will receive an understanding of the theory and practice of qualitative fit testing.
