Assessment & Gap Analysis

3M HCSC offers assessments of practice and gap analysis for both the Operating Room and the Sterile Processing Department.

Assessments happen at multiple levels:

• Evaluation of the Policy and Procedure Framework in your region / facility
• Evaluation of the knowledge levels of the surgical team or sterile processing staff, regarding current practice standards
• Evaluation of actual practice during various clinical procedures and processes, observed on-site over 1-2 days

Utilizing proprietary data collection and analysis tools, a team of 3M consultants analyzes assessment data to identify the various gaps that exist between current practice and recommended standards.

A written report summarizing opportunities for process improvements and competency status is provided. Recommendations are supported and documented with relevant standards and guidelines.
