2010 Advanced Locate Theory & Training Seminars


3M Dynatel Canada, a worldwide leader in utility locating and marking products is holding a series of comprehensive one day training seminars in conjunction with our distribution partners across Canada. These seminars will provide both basic and advanced locate theory and buried utility locating techniques using electro-magnetic locating equipment and are specifically designed to benefit locate technicians, contract and utility locators, utility companies in the telecommunications, oil & gas, water and power industries, as well as construction personnel.

Who should attend:

• Locate professionals and those in the industry of buried utility locating, construction & excavation, and utility maintenance.
• Individuals interested in an introductory course or refresher on locating practices and techniques as they pertain to electro-magnetic utility locating.

Seminar Content:

Each one day seminar will include instruction and discussion on the following topics:
• Electro-Magnetic Fundamentals
• Anatomy of a good locate
• Signal Application, Frequencies, & Locating Modes
• Advanced Locating Techniques
• Locating Tips & Tricks

These interactive and educational seminars are conducted by certified 3M Instructors and utilize interactive slide presentations in conjunction with group discussion and Q&A periods using terms and examples that are easy to understand. Supporting product and accessories examples are also utilized to further enrich the learning experience.

Seminar Completion & Recognition:

Upon completion of this course, each participant receives a 3M Certificate of Completion and a training binder.
