LONDON ON (July 25, 2012) – 3M Canada’s Electrical Markets Division is very pleased to announce they have entered into an agreement with Richards Manufacturing Company effective July 1, 2012.

Richards Manufacturing Company is a leading supplier of a wide variety of products to utilities for overhead and underground transmission and distribution. They also manufacture electrical utility products, reflecting many years of engineering, and manufacturing excellence as well as designing, manufacturing and testing many non-standard and specialty products to meet customers’ specific requirements.

With the agreement now in effect, 3M Canada is the exclusive representative for the full and complete Richards medium voltage catalogue of products in the Canadian industrial and utility markets.

“This alliance will greatly enhance our current line of medium voltage, and separable connectors. We will now be able to offer our customers a large selection of loadbreaks, deadbreaks and disconnectable joints for 15, 25 and 35 kV applications,” says Marilyn Lyons, Business Manager, Electrical Markets Division, 3M Canada.

These new products will be supported by 3M Canada’s superior technical, sales, customer service and operations professionals. In addition, 3M Canada will be supporting customer’s needs by building and maintaining local stock of the most popular separable connectors and accessories in the Milton, Ontario warehouse.
