LONDON, ON (March 27, 2013) – 3M Commercial Graphics launches 3M™ Envision™ Wrap Films, the world’s first high-performance, non-polyvinyl chloride (non-PVC) graphic films for signage on walls, floors, windows, vehicles, glass, and more.

The new line of Envision Wrap Film includes 3M Envision Print Wrap Film 480Cv3 and 3M Envision Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8548G, products that use innovative technology to provide best-in-class performance with a green edge, not only outperforming other non-PVC films, but outperforming all other wrap films.

“At 3M Canada, we’re always looking to improve our product offering for our customers and lessen the impact we all have on the environment,” said Stephanie Neskas, Business Manager, 3M Canada Commercial Graphics Division. “We’re excited to finally offer Canadians a non-PVC alternative to wrap films that remains true to the characteristics installers appreciate from 3M Commercial Graphics: exceptional slideability, snap-up, air release, and an outstanding final result.”

High Performance: When you need outstanding performance, 3M Envision Wrap Films provide outstanding solutions.

  • Very versatile: 3M Envision Wrap Films can be used to wrap vehicles, trailers, box trucks, boats, buses, motorcycles, textured walls and more.
  • Fits like a glove: Films go down, around and into flat or complex shapes and stay down. The innovative 3M Envision Wrap Films stretch up to 150 per cent when you want them to and will not lift. Apply some heat, and the film conforms on demand.
  • All-weather performance: When it’s warm, 3M Envision Wrap Films won’t get too soft or stretch out of control. When it’s cold, the film stays soft – it won’t become brittle and tear like other films.
  • Faster removal: Greater tensile strength means 3M Envision Wrap Films resist tearing, enabling faster, cleaner removal in bigger pieces.
  • Clear and scratch-resistant: 3M Envision Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8548G offers the same beautiful gloss and clarity as 3M Scotchcal™ Gloss Overlaminate 8518. It is also less prone to scratching than gloss cast vinyl.
  • Serves to protect: 3M Envision Wrap Films offer protection against UV rays, high temperatures and acid dew. They even come with a horizontal warranty.
  • Exceptional properties: 3M Envision Wrap Films have the properties that make 3M films an industry favourite, including excellent slideability, snap-up and air release.
  • Works with you: 3M Envision Wrap Films are compatible with latex, UV and some solvent inkjet inks, and with UV and solvent screen printing inks. See 3M’s Product Bulletin for details on printer ink recommendations.

Sustainability: 3M Envision Wrap Films offer a green option. Features include:

  • Sustainable Materials: 3M Envision Wrap Films are non-PVC, phthalate-free, use no added chlorine or other halogens during manufacturing and are made in part with bio-based materials.
  • LEED the way: 3M Envision Wrap Films helps contribute to LEED credits when used for refurbishment applications.
  • Doing more with less: The manufacture of 3M Envision Wrap Films uses 60 per cent less solvent.

3M Envision Wrap Films are backed by the same 3M MCS Warranty and Performance Guarantee that users trust.
